My Fair Lady
ERIE, PA (September 22, 2025) The timeless, Tony Award-Winning classic MY FAIR LADY continues at the Erie Playhouse through September 28, based on the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw, in a delightful production that is just “Loverly!”
Experience the classic story of Eliza Doolittle (Ellise Chase), a cockney flower girl caught in the middle of a bet between Henry Higgins (Rich Tryzbiak), a professor of phonetics, and Colonel Pickering (Joe Greulich), a fellow linguist. With an unforgettable score including (Casey Conrad-Medvis) “On the Street Where You Live,” Eliza’s “I Could Have Danced All Night” and (Jason Lawergren) “Get Me to the Church On Time,” MY FAIR LADY is one of the most beloved musicals of all time.
Director Ryan Ingram returns to the director’s chair for the sixth time with the Playhouse. “With a lasting love of George Bernard Shaw, author of Pygmalion, the source material for the beloved musical, Ingram noted, ‘The directness of his characters’ banter, while often comedic, also exposes their true opinions, motives and biases, often educating his audiences on social issues.’” – Erie Reader
