Chelle’s Cherry Hill Chill

Chelle’s Cherry Hill Chill 8915 Route 6N, Albion. Sorry, but it’ll always be the Cherry Hill Drive-In to me. Full disclosure: My grandparents created the place sometime in the 1960’s and made it a success, then sold it. Unfortunately, no other owners in the past 50 years after them have really had the willpower or gumption to make it popular again. Let’s hope Chelle makes this work.

The place offers a wide variety for drive-in dining: chili cheese dogs, Mushroom Swiss burger and Crispy Chicken sandwiches, served up with the usual sides, french fries, onion rings, etc. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Hoagie, some fries and a root beer. Good filling meal. Sat on a bench under a shady tree. Downright enjoyable. Next time I’m there I plan to try an exotic ice cream concoction such as the Cherry Bomb Blitz or the Muddy Mess. Too bad the place is closed as I write this; I’m ice-cream curious.
